The Royal Hospital School has a proud Naval history but its perceived image was limiting its appeal to a wider audience and no longer reflective of the school and its vision for the future. The challenge was to retain the essence of the naval influence while creating a more modern, inclusive, forward-looking brand identity.

As Senior Designer at a previous agency and as part of the creative team I was heavily involved in the research and designs for the new identity, brand guidelines, prospectus, signage, livery and more. I’m especially proud of the simplified crown logo mark that I crafted which is strongly influenced by the very detailed coat of arms style device used in the old logo, weaving the iconic clock tower into the heart of the design supported by billowing sails which reflect the naval history and suggest forward momentum.
